WORK IT LADS!

I need to get cracking on becoming better at knitting. All the cool cardigans that I see for men are always knitted...never crocheted.

GIVE US A HUG

Nope. I did not make the lovely handmade sweater but very happy to have found it in the local charity shop. Now I can finally try out as a police extra in The Killing / Forbrydelsen!

I'm working on a crochet sweater which is nowhere near as complicated as this sweater so I def appreciate the crafts(wo)manship that has gone into it.

Also found the Alessi bowl, Nigella's book and the West German planter in the same shop.

Scary pattern

I don't think Lee Target had the best art and marketing director in the 70s when this pattern was made. The kid sweater is nice - I don't know about you but, the ghostly nanny is not selling it to me. I'm sure the lady was endearing in real life but it looks like she is apart of the undead, and the fact that she seems to be torturing the child by knitting the clothes onto his body does not help either. I'm surprised that not more people growing up in the 70s and 80s were scarred for life when it came to handmade cloths.

100 COUNTY GLOVES

My mother had found this book in a charity-shop in Sweden and when I was down last weekend I made sure to take some snapshots. I love the old-fashion nordic patterns and the funky 70s crochet patterns (last pic).

Knitting from Norrbotten - Gloves, Socks and Hats

Amazing patterns from a book I found in Sweden when I was last over.

Love that there are some men featured in the book!

THE NEW KNITTING BOOK

The New Knitting book - is not that new any more. It belonged to my grandmother and is a treasure trove of interesting patterns. Maybe I should hang up my crochet needle for the knitting needle for a while.
