When I went to Stockholm last weekend it seemed like the city was full of love:
My friend Anna got married to Kristofer. They got married in Stadshuset and afterwards had an amazing wedding celebration. While in Stockholm I stayed with my parents who are clearly still as in love as when they met 35 years ago. I had a lovely time and anybody that says that Swedes are cold needs to go to Stockholm. Preferably during Summer or Autumn.

BITS OF OXFORD
Oxford is a great city to live in. You can find inspiration and charm in some of the smallest backstreets. These are a few of the snapshots that I taken when I'm running around with my camera. I hope you can see why I have made Oxford my home for the last eight years. :)

A BIT OF SELF-PROMOTION
I've done some self-promotion lately which has reaped the following reward: a magazine article in Crafty Magazine and also a quick interview by the blog Those Who Make. I know it is quite egotistical to be harping on about myself and I do that in the article so I will stop here! But if you want to find out more about me or these cool print and online publications, then have a look.

DING DONG THE BELLS
Two weekends ago I went to Laura and Richards wedding in summery Hertfordshire. The day couldn't have turned out better - the sun was out and the service was perfect. These are just a few of the snapshots that I was able to take.
Thanks to Laura and Richard for such a lovely day.

LAZY SUNDAY IN LONDON
I don't know what has happened to this week. It has gone so quickly that I feel a little car-sick. Friday! How did that happen? Having said that, I'm glad that we are here now.
These are some photos from a Sunday long ago, but it was a good day, so why not share it? The charming lady trying to eat while I take photos is Eleonor. I look forward to more days like these in the future with cold walks and warm drinks.

PUBLIC SPEAKING
The talk last Wednesday was a fun event for me. Talked to a lot of people interested in knitting and crochet who were creating awesome new things. Silly me forgot to bring my crochet along - I would lose my head if it wasn't attached!
I have been spending most of my time walking up and down the streets of Stockholm. It is such a beautiful city.
Nice new Danish wool for the autumn...which I found here. Think it is going to become another hat.

TALKING CROCHET
What a goodlooking lady. She doesn’t seemed concerned about all the wool that is floating about in the room. Very happy to be working with her skein. As happy as I will be on Wednesday. That is the day I will be talking at the Nordic Museum on Crochet and Manliness - mostly how and if the two go together. All of you that are hanging, like the wool, around in Stockholm and have some spare time - head over to the Nordic Museum for some knitting, crocheting and some general merriment.

AUTUMN SET IN MOTION
It is about that time when the wind changes, new things are on the horizon and things look more optimistic. They call it autumn and I love it. It is the season for new starts - most of us have had our holidays and are geared up to get cracking on with our lives.
It's the season when we change from using light cottons to nice soft wool that will keep us warm during the winter. I must confess that I have become such a wool snob recently - only the finest wool is good enough. Out are all the horribly itchy wools and plastics and in are posh wools with hefty price tags. It's worth it, I keep telling myself, because it does feel nicer when working with those fibres.
I love the autumn and I'm eagerly awaiting the cavalcade of colour that is to come. Bring it on.
