I don't know about you but my kitchen floor is freezing. I think it has something to do with the fact that there is only a layer of linolium between my feet and the cold concrete housebase - you gotta love old english council houses! This kitchen mat is a must have and is up-cycled from some old cotton wool I found in a charity shop.
The stitch is called granny stitch and my old granny would have been proud - I used some strong cotton string to make the mat tougher.... or should I have said rugged? Boom. Boom.
