I don't think Lee Target had the best art and marketing director in the 70s when this pattern was made. The kid sweater is nice - I don't know about you but, the ghostly nanny is not selling it to me. I'm sure the lady was endearing in real life but it looks like she is apart of the undead, and the fact that she seems to be torturing the child by knitting the clothes onto his body does not help either. I'm surprised that not more people growing up in the 70s and 80s were scarred for life when it came to handmade cloths.

That child is petrified.
His eyes are screaming, "Get me outta here!"
Right, and I don't understand why the woman needs to be in a 19th century nanny outfit either? Surly it should be the knitted clothes that should be in focus.
That nanny is giving me goosebumps. As are the pair of mittens that appear to be joined together like some sort of infant straight-jacket. I can see all sorts of issues stemming from this outfit. melx
With black lipstick she is very burton-esque : Nanny with needlehands..
Look at the right leg of the boy : do you see the blur that betrays nervousness ?
Oh my god! this is terrorific!hahaha, poor child!
Gosh the kiddo looks like is going to burst into tears...I bet the knitted stuff is itchy and scratchy too!
Awful right. It made me laugh doe.
